2019-2020 PNC BROADWAY IN PITTSBURGH SEASON
PITTSBURGH, PA–The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust proudly announces the 2019-2020 PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season, which continues the tradition of bringing the best of Broadway directly to Pittsburgh. The touring Broadway shows coming to Pittsburgh this season collectively boast more than 30 Tony® Awards, including THE BAND’S VISIT, which won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theater Album. The seven-show season opens with MEAN GIRLS, the hilarious hit musical from an award-winning creative team, including book writer Tina Fey, A BRONX TALE, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, MISS SAIGON, SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL, and ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE.
Season specials include CATS, LES MISÉRABLES, THE ILLUSIONISTS, and a special four-week engagement of DISNEY’S THE LION KING. On September 14, 2019, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is thrilled to present its second Sensory-Friendly performance of DISNEY’S THE LION KING, following the success of this program in 2013.
The PNC Foundation joins the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for the in bringing the best of Broadway to entertain, enlighten, and complement the rich experiences that add to the region’s exceptional quality of life. The seven season presentations and four specials contribute to the city’s reputation as a major destination for the arts, culture, and world-class entertainment.

The return of HAMILTON has been confirmed during the 2020-2021 PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season. 2019-2020 season ticket holders who renew into the 2020-2021 season will receive priority seating for HAMILTON. Additional ticket limits and other restrictions may apply.

Subscription packages to the seven-show the series range from $205 to $723 per subscription. Single tickets will go on sale six to eight weeks in advance of the show’s opening for most events. Group discounts apply to orders of 10 tickets or more for most events.

Experience the acclaimed new production of the legendary musical MISS SAIGON, from the creators of Les Misérables. This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There, she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For three years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he’s fathered a son.

In an Israeli desert town where every day feels the same, something different is suddenly in the air. Dina, the local café owner, had long resigned her desires for romance to daydreaming about exotic films and music from her youth. When a band of Egyptian musicians shows up lost at her café, she and her fellow locals take them in for the night. Under the spell of the night sky, their lives intertwine in unexpected ways, and this once sleepy town begins to wake up.
THE BAND’S VISIT features music and lyrics by Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek, and a book by Tony, NY Drama Critics Circle, Lortel, and Outer Critics Circle Awards winner Itamar Moses.
